What is Altrnative?

Altrnative is a platform for AI agents on WhatsApp. An agent answers your customers on your WhatsApp Business number, captures what they tell you, and hands over to a person when it should. You can use it on campaigns to a list or on chats your own system starts through the API.

Who is Altrnative for?

Do I need my own WhatsApp number?

Your agent runs on a number on the WhatsApp Business API, connected in WhatsApp Manager inside Altrnative. A number used in the WhatsApp Business app can be moved to the API; it then stops working in the app.

How do I build an agent?

Describe the job in plain words: who it talks to, what a good conversation ends with, what to find out, and when to hand over. Test it in a chat where Altrnative plays different customers, then put it on a campaign or the API. See WhatsApp AI agent.

Does it reply in Hindi?

Yes. It replies in the language and script the customer writes in (English, Hindi or Hinglish) and switches when they do.

Can I send campaigns?

Yes. Upload a CSV, pick a Meta-approved template, fill its values from your columns, test on your own number, then send now or schedule it. Opt-outs are honoured automatically. See WhatsApp bulk messaging.

Is there an API?

Yes. POST /api/v1/chats starts a chat that an agent answers, GET /api/v1/chats/{id} returns its status, messages and captured fields, and the campaign endpoints send templates to a list. Keys are made under API keys in the dashboard. See the docs.

How much does it cost?

No subscription. Send only: Meta's rate plus 10%. When an agent answers: Meta's rate at cost plus ₹0.30 per conversation (one person, one number, 24 hours, AI included). You start with $5 free. See pricing.

How do I pay?

Balance is prepaid. Pay by UPI or bank transfer and email the reference; it is added to your balance.

Can I have sub-accounts for my teams or clients?

Yes. A main account can create sub-accounts, each with its own numbers, agents and campaigns, billed to the main account.

Is it allowed by WhatsApp?

Yes. Altrnative uses Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API, approved templates for first messages, and honours opt-outs automatically.

How is Altrnative different from WATI, Interakt or AiSensy?
