Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Altrnative handles, why, and what you can do about it.
In short
- We keep your account details, the contacts you upload, and the messages and replies — to run your campaigns and bill you.
- Your contacts are yours. We act on your instructions with them and nothing else.
- We never sell personal information, and never use your campaign data to advertise.
- The people who see it besides us: WhatsApp, our hosting and database providers, and — only when you use ours — an AI provider.
- Ask us and we will show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it.
The detail is below, including every provider by name.
Two kinds of information
About you, our customer — your account. For this, we decide how it is used.
About the people you message — the contact lists you upload and the messages exchanged with them. For this, you decide: we process it on your behalf, only to run your campaigns. You are responsible for having their consent and for answering their requests about it.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address and profile picture from the sign-in you use, and when you signed up.
- Connected services: your WhatsApp Business account identifiers and access credentials, and any AI keys you add. These are used only to act for you and are never shown back in full.
- Campaign data: contact names, phone numbers and other columns you upload; the messages sent; delivery and read receipts; replies; and the answers extracted from them.
- Billing: your plan, balance, every charge, and the payment references you send us.
- Technical: server logs such as IP address and request times, kept for security and troubleshooting.
What we use it for
- To run the service: send your campaigns, record responses, read replies with AI when you ask for it, and bill you.
- To keep it secure and to prevent abuse, including spam.
- To contact you about your account, billing, and important changes.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your campaign data to advertise to anyone.

How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. When you ask us to, we delete your campaign data, except records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons, such as billing records.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent where we rely on it, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you are someone who received a message sent through Altrnative, contact the business that messaged you; we will help them respond. You can also reply “STOP” to stop campaign messages from that business.
Security
Connections are encrypted, access to data is restricted to what the service needs, and credentials are never displayed in full. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Preferences such as the colour theme are stored in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies.
